UPDATED VISITOR POLICY FOR ULTRASOUND VISITS

RE: UPDATED VISITOR POLICY FOR ULTRASOUNDS

Dear Patients,

As many of you know, we have been searching for a solution to allow our maternity patients to be able to have a support person with them during their ultrasounds. We have been following the visitor guidelines set by Baptist Health Lexington but have worked with them to create a solution on behalf of our patients. We understand and agree with the current policy, but we are happy to report that we have found a way to include a support person safely.

Effective August 4, 2020 we will allow one (1) visitor with each patient for a scheduled prenatal ultrasound at all Lexington Women’s Health locations. Only one visitor may enter, any additional family members must wait in the car or utilize Face Time or other virtual options.

Visitors are expected to bring their own face mask, pass our covid-19 screening and abide by all guidelines.

All approved visitors must check in at the screening desk and wear a face mask throughout the duration of their visit. After the ultrasound, the support person will be asked to return to their vehicle. That will ensure that we can keep our lobby at the recommended capacity.

Thank you all so much for you understanding during these ever-changing times. As the COVID-19 status continues to rapidly evolve, visitor restrictions are subject to change. Our hope is that with these measures, we can continue to offer excellent care to the families of the Bluegrass while keeping safety our number one priority.

Thank you for your patience during this pandemic.
