It is with great honor and some sadness that I am writing to let you know that I am retiring from Medicine effective January 1, 2022.
I have been blessed to practice medicine for over 25 years. It has been such a joy to serve my patients and their families and an honor to have assisted in bringing so many lives into the world!
Since moving to Lexington Women’s Health and into the state of Kentucky, I have formed so many new relationships. I can’t thank my colleagues and the staff of LWH enough. The people here in Kentucky really are amazing! The relationships I have made with all of you and your families are priceless and that is what I will miss the most.
Many of you know that I was promoted to Colonel in the fall of 2019. My husband, Todd, and I are moving to Nashville to further my military career and serve the United State Air Force full time beginning in January 2022. My military journey began in 1984 as an Airman Basic and I would love to get to 40 years of service and see where this pathway leads me.
You already know we have a wonderful team of providers at Lexington Women’s Health. We are also very fortunate to have Lauren Beaven, M.D. starting with our practice on January 1, 2022. Dr. Beaven brings extensive experience in obstetrics and gynecology. She has been serving the women of Kentucky for the last 7 years as an Associate Professor at the University of Kentucky. If you have an upcoming appointment scheduled, a member of my front office will contact you over the next couple of weeks to coordinate these changes.
In closing, I just want to thank all of you for letting me be a part of your life and please stay in touch as I embark on this next adventure!
Colonel Grace Gibbs, D.O.
